Indie rock hidden gems Hippo Campus will be making their way across North America in 2025 as part of their upcoming Flood tour. The tour is in support of their newest album of the same name that was released in September 2024. They’ll be hitting up dozens of cities across the US and Canada supported by a few openers including Mei Semones, who will be joining them for their Milwaukee show. Make sure you grab some tickets for when they stop by the Riverside Theater!
Hippo Campus was formed from a group of university friends attending the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists. The four core members (who are all still members today) were studying jazz and opera, but they ended up forming Hippo Campus, which has developed a rather eclectic indie rock sound. The band has been cranking out musical gems since 2013, releasing their first studio album in 2017. Their newest, Flood, is everything you love about them amplified. Catch their performance at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee this February!
For the past decade, Hippo Campus have been consistent. So far, the band has released four studio albums, six EPs, and two demo albums. Releasing music nearly every year since their beginnings in 2013, Hippo Campus’s unique, raw sound has been polished and revised to near perfection. And by the looks of it, it’s doing them pretty good so far. Fans can’t get enough. Which is a damn good thing, because Hippo Campus is about to embark on yet another North American tour. If you live in Milwaukee, you’re in luck! They’re performing there this February at the Riverside Theater, so grab some tickets and head on down.
Hippo Campus have so much to celebrate as they ring in the new year. They just released their fourth studio album, Flood, on September 20th, and fans have been streaming it like crazy. Riding that high, the band is set to begin their eighth headlining tour in their career. The tour starts on January 28th 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee and will come to an end on May 31st 2025 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. You can catch them when they land in Milwaukee on February 12th. When they released their first full length album, Hippo Campus didn’t know what to expect. By this point, they had already been releasing music in other forms since 2013, and had been doing pretty well by typical “indie band” standards. But it wasn’t until they came out with their single, “Way It Goes,” that things really took off. Today, the song has well over 100 million streams on Spotify alone. Landmark also gave them another hit in the form of a b-side titled “Buttercup,” which is now their most streamed song ever. Get a chance to hear it live when they hit up Riverside Theater!
